The Problem:
Our client relied on an aging Retail Pricing Management System (RPMS) with significant limitations. The disconnected client/server architecture caused instability, making it difficult for store operators to manage retail pricing efficiently. The system lacked maintainability, struggled with data synchronization, and required a cumbersome workflow involving multiple manual steps to download and upload pricing data. Our client sought a modern solution to streamline operations, improve user collaboration, and enable centralized management.
The Solution:
Century Software Technologies was engaged to modernize RPMS, transitioning it from a disconnected client/server model to a multitiered, web-based application. This new architecture enabled real-time data management, eliminated the need for manual file transfers, and introduced features to simplify retail pricing workflows.
The Problem:
Our client had an outdated order entry system, written using Microsoft's original Active Server Pages (ASP) technology, VB Script, and some elements of ColdFusion; this solution had multiple issues including a lack of separation of concerns in the architecture, inadequate validation and error handling, a lifeless, antiquated, and inconsistent user interface (UI), and – perhaps the most frustrating aspect for its users – poor performance. The client wanted to address these issues and identify some best-of-breed technologies on which other solutions might be built and deployed.
The Solution:
Using Microsoft's ASP.NET MVC (Model View Controller) and Entity Framework (EF) technologies on the server side and leveraging JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to push much of the rendering and UI work to the client side, Century delivered a scalable, maintainable, and highly performant replacement with a totally new look with many new and logical UI features that completely transformed and enhanced the user experience.
The Problem:
A very large hospital had 12 million pages of patient paper medical records across many associated specialty clinics. Each clinic had their set of paper patient charts (medical record files) that needed to be converted to Electronic Medical Records with a consistent format and a set schedule.
The Solution:
Century developed a plan for this conversion that brought consistency of the delivery across all specialty clinics, while always having the patient records available for use during the conversion. The customer was very pleased with the planning, execution and on-time delivery of exactly what they wanted.
The Problem:
A system with several million data records and corresponding documents had become outdated and cumbersomely slow to provide information and documents to the users across a large network.
The Solution:
Century developed the software, methodology and processing that brought the millions of records and documents out of the old system, into current software and hardware that made their information retrieval 300 times faster.
The Problem:
Tens of thousands of customer applications were being processed manually.
The Solution:
Century developed software to gather information from the forms, process the collected data, and interface with other external systems to process and store the data, update the telephone customers' records and store online copies of the forms for future proof of order.
The Problem:
In today's digital age, many individuals possess invaluable collections of photographs and videos stored in outdated or vulnerable formats. These cherished memories are at risk of deterioration, loss, or damage, leading to a growing need for a reliable method to preserve and protect them for future generations.
The Solution:
Leveraging over 50 years of expertise in document imaging and data management through our sister company, Century Document Imaging, Century Software Technologies recognized the opportunity to offer a consumer-focused service dedicated to safeguarding personal memories. We developed Digitize Memories Now, a comprehensive solution that enables individuals to convert their physical photos and videos into high-quality digital formats.
The Problem:
Accessible parking violations have long been a challenge for individuals with disabilities, often leaving designated spaces unavailable for those who need them most. Enforcement is difficult due to limited resources, and violations frequently go unreported. Communities needed a solution to empower citizens and improve compliance with accessibility standards.
The Solution:
Century Software Technologies partnered with BlueSpot.VIP to develop an innovative web application that bridges the gap between community volunteers and law enforcement. BlueSpot.VIP allows users to report accessible parking violations quickly and efficiently using their smartphones. Volunteers can submit photo evidence of violations, which is then routed to the appropriate authorities for action.
